DrHelenTZ | My journey to improve healthcare in Sub-Saharan Africa - In December 2009 I departed on a self-planned medical humanitarian journey to visit a remote rural mission hospital on the shores of Lake Malawi. I have returned to St. Martin’s Hospital many times as a member and only doctor of the community. People in Malawi live on less than $1 per day. One out of…

  • https://drhelentz.com/2012/06/14/im-back/ I’m back | DrHelenTZ - No, not to Malawi but to this blog. Apple's MobileMe will become defunct on June 30 so I have acquainted myself with Wordpress. Over a year has passed since I have been in Malawi. I have been in frequent touch with many of my friends and members of the St. Martin's Hospital and community. It did take…

He is taking antiretroviral (ARV) medications. As long as he takes his medication, gets nutrition in the form of ‘Plumpy nut’ or vitamin-enriched Lunda Phala Flour, and gets his immunizations, he can grow up to become…

We loaded 950 boxes and multiple pieces of equipment - a…

There were 10 ‘charts’ but head count was 11. The ‘charts’ are pieces of paper attached by a fold in the corner. History, exams and medication lists are randomly documented. One important…

  • Heather - Be Prepared Get a Generator

So far we have not used this Generator. Purchased this Generator Last Year for Christmas. After several years in a row with power outages due to hurricanes or Major Snow storms here in NY. We are now prepped. We turn the Generator on every few months for about 15 minutes and put a Stabilizer in the tank. Could not Beat Amazon Primes FREE 2 day shipping at time of purchase. Something as heavy and size would have cost an arm and a leg to deliver.

  • Gayla Sitherland - future practice

This book was for my daughter as she starts high school. The book was in good condition and has a lot of useful information.

  • Zingaro - Disappointment

Got this for my boyfriend, who was noticing all the symptoms they say on the commercial. After taking it for 3 weeks, all he's noticed is he's angrier. LOL. It's a shame.

  • totallyfrozen - Noticeably effective!

I live in the Houston, TX area (i.e. subtropical climate). My garage is what you'd call "unfinished" meaning, no dry wall, etc. it's a work space; not an extra room. So it's not sealed from the outside climate. My garage gets very hot and damp. I'm pretty meticulous about taking care of my stuff so I clean my tools (and oil them if necessary) before I put them away. Still, I started noticing my tools rusting and some rather "earthy" smells in the garage. I had learned out DampRid from a family member who used it in an RV so I thought I'd try it. Honestly, given the size of my garage and the fact that outside air blows in, I didn't expect much benefit. After the first night in use, I went into the garage and could FEEL the difference. It's not as effective as a dehumidifier but it doesn't cost $300 either. So far, I'm happy.

  • Bwatson2015 - Works fast!

If you are looking for a fast cleanse that works this is your product. The 3 steps are easy to follow. I had no funny tastes from any of the product and I felt great after using it. It seemed to give me a boost in energy after I finished the cleanse. I used the product while on vacation before my wedding and I could actually tell a difference from before and after.

  • William L. Condon - Warm and comfortable

This Honeywell heater does a very good job heating our 12x16' bedroom. It heats the room up to a comfortable level in less that 15 minutes. The heat is projected to all areas of the room in a quiet and efficient manner. We are pleased with this heater as a supplemental heat source for this purpose and would recommend it happily.
