Guinness is full of surprises from cover to cover. Some of the strangest world records you'll find anywhere. This isn't a book to read but one to open at any page for an amusing and amazing feat of human endeavor.

The fit was perfect. Instruction very vague but with other posts was able to figure it out. Definitely need to improve the installation instructions. Sturdy & Durable for kayaks and paddle boards.

This unit failed in the first 30 seconds of use. It uses a metal driven gear and a plastic drive gear arranged in a face-gear design. So any small amount of resistance caused by simply pressing your nail into the device strips the teeth right off of the drive gear. Sadly, this falls into the 'as seen on TV junk" category and should be avoided.

This is an important book in our increasingly data-driven, and algorithmic world. Big data, a catch phrase of the last five years, is not always the antidote. Context around data is so vitally important. Lest we consider the many sides of data and the context around the algorithms we construct to make sense out of it, we'll fall victim to an equally fallible set of outcomes. Data alone cannot save us; we must pair data and consciousness of its deficiencies, to best enable it. I found this book timely and an important contribution to the evolving debates in our digital world.
