  • http://www.livingwithcidp.org/c/welcome Welcome - Living with Polyneuropathy CIDP, GBS, & CMT - Welcome to the new Bens Friends Polyneuropathy Site. Polyneuropathy is damage or disease affecting peripheral nerves) in roughly the same areas on both sides of the body, featuring weakness, numbness, pins and needles, and burning pain. It usually begins in the hands and feet and may progress to the arms and legs; and sometimes to other parts of the body where it may affect the autonomic nervous system. It may be acute (appearing suddenly, progressing rapidly and resolving slowly) or chronic (emerging and developing gradually). A number of different disorders may cause polyneuropathy, including Guillian-barre Syndrome, Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy, and Charcot-Marie-Tooth which are predominantly motor peripheral neuropathies Although poly-neuropathy is common, it most often is the result of “something else” Guillian-barre Syndrome, Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy, and Charcot-Marie-Tooth are known disease are either hereditary or autoimmune in nature and are “rare” This site is for peer to peer support for patients, family members, and caregivers of those diseases. Although the diseases are different (and we have dedicated sections for each) day to day living with them, symptoms and treatment are very similar and your experiences can help others even if their disease diagnoses is “different”.

  • Joseph Criniti, Jr. - Great Knife

I bought this on a whim. It came up as one of those "add both to cart" items. I am very happy with this blade. Extremely sharp and durable. Nice rubber handle , and adjustable sheath. I used it to carve a pumpkin, and it worked perfectly. Would definitely recommend this for any situation.

  • Country Lady - Good explanation of insulin resistance but nothing new in food plan

This book doesn't really have anything new or different. It tells you to eat lean meat, beans, and lowfat cheeses for proteins and eat a balanced diet if fruits, vegetables, nuts, dairy, and lean meats. Too much emphasis is placed in nonfat and sugar-free foods. If you are like me and do not eat very much processed foods, this won't be helpful. I was hoping for something new that would help insulin resistance without medication, but this wasn't what I was looking for. If you don't understand what insulin resistance is this book does a good job of explaining it.

I used this several years ago in combination with other herbs/products and it did eliminate the yeast overgrowth (confirmed) back then. Have had 2 subsequent tests with no trace of yeast albicans overgrowth. Now I'm still batteling bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), but that treatment protocol is a little different.

  • GreggV - Living Cookbook Has Poor Customer Support.

I first purchased LC in 2011. I developed a cookbook and published the cookbook using this software. The two problems for publication were the nutrition information attached to the recipes and the difficulty to put the work into a PDFs file. With a lot of effort and a good publisher, I was able to overcome both shortcomings. I purchased a license for the 2013 version and then for the 2015 version with the intention of publishing another cookbook. There were significant problems trying to update my software to the newer version. I tried using LC customer support more than seven times and we could not get the software to upgrade. By this time I could not even recover my files in LC and lost approximately 75 recipes. I went on and on with customer service to no outcome. All they would have had to have done is offer to reload the basic software and upgrade me to the 2015 version. Previously, I had paid for everything including the 2015 license. But they ignored me when they could not fix the problem. I sent a note asking for a refund of my license fee and received no response. I would not recommend this software because of poor customer support and because they do not value their customers.

  • Superflydave - My mind is blown!! What a find!

I read the paperback version a few months ago and I was completely taken back by the amount of detail and well thought out economic strategy was contained in this book. I ended up buying 6 copies of the PDF version with the rest of the inheritance from my grandmother's estate ($2,970) so I was able to share with my friends and coworkers. I can't wait to see what the outlook may bring for 2015 and beyond. Simple Life Changing!
